2026 Show Schedule

DIVISIONS OF DAFFODIL CLASSES

There are classes in the Schedule into which all representative divisions may be entered.

Division 1

Trumpet

Solitary flowers each having a trumpet as long as or longer than the petals.  

            

Division 2

Large Cupped

Solitary flowers each having a cup at least one third the length of, but shorter than, the petals.

                  

Division 3

Small-cupped

Solitary flowers each having a cup less than one third the length of the petals.

                 

Division 4

Doubles

One or more flowers to a stem, more than one ring of petals, cup and petals indistinguishable

           

Division 5

Triandrus

Usually two or more drooping flowers to a stem, short, sometimes straight sided, cup and narrow reflexed petals     

Division 6

Cyclamineus

Usually one or two flowers to a stem, drooping flowers with long trumpets, sometimes flanged and reflexed petals.

Division 7

Jonquilla

Usually two or more fragrant flowers to a rounded stem, cup shorter than petals, petals spreading not reflexed.

Division 8

Tazetta

Clusters of either 12 or more small fragrant flowers, or 3-4 large ones to a stem, cups are small and often straight-sided, petals are broad and mostly pointed           

Division 9

Poeticus

One fragrant flower to a stem, petals pure white with a disc-shaped cup having a green or yellow centre with a red rim. e.g. Pheasant Eye      

Division 10

Species, wild hybrids and variants

Short and mostly early flowering. Species include Narcissus asturiansis, N. bolbocodium, N. canaliculatus, N. cyclamineus, N. pseudonarcissus and N. obvallaris

Division 11

Split Corona

Usually solitary flowers. Corona split usually for more than half its length      

Division 12

Miscellaneous Daffodils

Daffodils not falling into any of the other categories.Uncommon but some hybrids of N. bolbocodium are included.
